The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) 8171 Web Portal is the official online platform linked with the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) database. It allows beneficiaries to check their real-time eligibility and payment status under the Benazir Kafaalat Program.
In January 2026, BISP updated the records of all registered women. However, many beneficiaries are confused because the 4th quarterly installment, which started on 26 January 2026 across Pakistan, has not been received by everyone—even those whose status shows as “registered” on the portal.
Why Many Beneficiaries Did Not Receive Payments
According to BISP officials, beneficiaries are divided into different categories based on their dynamic survey and PMT (Poverty Means Test) score. While some women are eligible for the new payment of Rs. 14,500, others are not yet qualified.
Many women are seeing the message “registered in BISP dynamic survey” but are not receiving payments. This is because being registered does not automatically mean being eligible.
Main Reasons for Payment Issues
1. Old Registered Beneficiaries
Women who were registered earlier may now be ineligible because BISP registration is valid for three years only. These beneficiaries must update their information through the dynamic survey, and until this process is completed and verified, payments may be delayed.
2. Newly Registered Beneficiaries (2026)
Women who have recently completed the dynamic survey and are declared eligible will start receiving payments from the January 2026 installment. They will continue to receive support for the next three years.
3. Beneficiaries with PMT Score Below 32
Some women with a PMT score below 32 are marked as registered but have not yet received payments. These beneficiaries:
- Did not receive the December 2025 installment
- Will receive Rs. 14,500 in January 2026
4. Ineligible Beneficiaries (PMT Above 32)
Women whose PMT score is above 32 are currently not eligible, even if their status shows as registered on the portal.
However, there is a possibility that the PMT threshold may increase from 32 to 34 in 2026, which could make some of these women eligible in the future.
Important Note About 8171 Status
All users checking their status on the 8171 portal may see “registered,” but this does not guarantee payment. Only those who:
- Completed their survey earlier
- Meet eligibility criteria
have started receiving payments from 26 January 2026.

Dynamic Survey Update for 2 Million Families
On October 16, 2025, BISP announced that around 2 million beneficiaries who had not updated their information after three years would be removed from the program. These individuals must complete the dynamic survey to remain eligible.
Impact on Taleemi Wazaif Beneficiaries
Women whose children are enrolled in the Benazir Taleemi Wazaif Program may also face disqualification if their own Kafaalat status becomes inactive. This is because the child’s stipend is linked to the mother’s account.
Beneficiaries were given time until December 2025 to complete their survey updates.
