1. Use a SIM Registered in Your Own Name
In 2026, the Benazir Income Support Programme system has stricter security checks. If you send your CNIC from someone else’s SIM, your request may not be processed.
Solution: Always use a SIM card that is biometrically registered in your own name.
2. Check Your Mobile Balance
Even though 8171 is usually a free service, some networks may require a small balance to send SMS.
